Microsoft Windows Media Center is a digital video recorder and media hub developed by Microsoft for Windows PCs. Designed to turn a computer into a living-room entertainment system, it offered a remote-friendly, TV-optimized “10-foot” interface. With compatible TV tuners, it enabled watching and recording live television, time-shifting, and browsing an on-screen program guide, while also organizing and playing music, videos, photos, and DVDs. It supported Media Center Extenders, such as the Xbox 360, for whole-home streaming.

Windows Media Center debuted with Windows XP Media Center Edition, was included with select editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7, and was later available as an optional add-on for Windows 8 Pro. Microsoft has discontinued the product, and it is not included in Windows 10 or later.

Microsoft Windows Media Center is developed by Microsoft. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 6.0 and 7.0. The names of program executable files are ehshell.exe, ehshell2.exe, loadmxf.exe, MCMLAnimationExplorer.exe and McmlPadAuto.exe.
